"CHANGES IN THE WORKPLACE "You small business owners out there are preparing for life under a Barack Obama presidency. One of our listeners sent us some new rules for small businesses based on Obama's ideals of change and fairness:

As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama officially becomes president-elect, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:

1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are under-achieving a "fair shake".

2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst you. This will help those who are "too busy for overtime" to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.

3. All top management will now be referred to as "the government." We will not participate in this "pooling" experience because the law doesn't apply to us.

4. The "government" will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard "for the good of all".

5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's "good to spread the wealth around". Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more "patriotic".

6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?)!!!

If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th."

Hello Dear Friends and White Knights,

Recently at the Davos, Switzerland world economic conference, there
was a very short interview by an American woman reporter who asked a
European official about why the banks are not lending. The official
stated that “… the banks are …” being given conflicting instructions.
He stated that “…the REGULATORS …” are telling the banks to hold high
levels of cash, but “… the government is telling the banks to …” make
loans.

I saw this interview on one of the cable news networks which I watch –
either CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, or Headline News. The reporter was a woman
with dark, shoulder-length hair, who looked about 30 years old and she
is not a major reporter for the network. The man talking to her had
medium brown hair and appeared to be about 6 feet tall.
Unfortunately, I did not have a pen and paper close at hand to write
down the pertinent facts of this interview.

The point is that this one short interview TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR
CURRENT CRISIS of banks not making loans. I have seen many news
commentators and members of Congress ask “why are the banks NOT
lending?”

This is the answer: The REGULATORS are telling the banks to hold
large amounts of cash, but the government is telling banks to make
loans which depletes the bank’s cash.

WHO is the “REGULATOR” in the US?   The FEDERAL RESERVE is the
regulator!

The Federal Reserve is supposed to be operating in alignment with the
US government but does not in matters of moving forward its own
agenda.

The Federal Reserve, by imposing Basel II on the American banks, has
ordered the banks to HOLD cash. As we can see, the banks are
listening to the Federal Reserve, not to the US Congress or the
federal government.

WE need to expose the fact the Federal Reserve is working against
Americans and against the US government. I am asking your help to do
this. Some of you, such as Herb in Oregon, Melissa in California,
Paul in Illinois, and others have at times been very active on
different issues and actively worked on the internet to post
information by email or on forums and blogs.

I’m asking all of you who are able to give your help to get this
information to news agencies and post it on forums and blogs:   that
the Federal Reserve has imposed a regulation called Basel II on
American banks which is currently requiring the banks to HOLD higher
cash amounts and this regulation is in conflict with the current need
for banks to make business loans, improve mortgages, and provide other
credit. Basel II was imposed in August 2008 and quickly led to the
problems we have seen. We need to demand that the Federal Reserve
back off the Basel II requirements.

Regarding Basel II, these are ARBITRARY requirements which have not
been proven to be necessary and therefore can be tossed out without
worry. Basel II was developed by a small group of central bankers in
Basel, Switzerland with a specific agenda to cause the current
economic problems. Basel II has also been imposed in other countries
which are having the same problems as the US. This is not an
accident.

The Federal Reserve is a privately owned corporation under contract
with the US government which President Obama does not have the legal
authority to control   If we can put enough heat on the Federal
Reserve, we may be able to get the Fed to back off its Basel II
policies and save some jobs and homes for Americans!
